What’s new 2020 July?

Gravad lax och dillstuvad potatis

We are celebrating a few things today. No new locally acquired covid cases for over a month. We are open for bookings again from the 1 July. And the big news about same sex marriage in Thailand

Thailand is set to be the first Southeast Asian country to legalize same-sex unions after the government approved a bill that will now head for parliament approval to become law. Read more here

Then we have some sad news. Tourism is still far away. The “travel bubble” idea seems to be cancelled indefinitely. There is no forecast to what, when and how will get started again.
Tourism might count high as 20% of GDP in Thailand and a very high portion of employment and self employment rely directly or inderectly of tourism. The big question is how long can they ignore this.

When you are ready to trave we are ready for you. Alcohol gel, napkins, spray and drinks are waiting for you.

2019 Swimming pool renovation

2019 pool renovation

And here is the result.

New pool from June 2019

Our swimming pool is close to 20 years old and therefore some tiles started to come off. The deck around the pool was really getting harsh and resulted in a painful walk with your bare feet. The edge of the pool could get you a scrub if you weren’t careful. A hard-working group of 20 men and women have in just a weeks time removed all the old tiles. The pool has now been waterproofed and repaired the entire area with new tiles and PebbleCrete.
